Tanner Dean Gould was born on December 5, 1997, with a fragile heart, but with the spirit of a Viking. This indomitable spirit carried him through many battles and obstacles, until it could not any longer. Tanner left this world on December 14, 2025, at the age of 28 years, into the waiting open arms of Jesus, his grandfather Ronald Favreau and uncle Kenny. The years he lived were too short, but the impact that he left is immeasurable.
Tanner walked through life with a gentle, unbridled joy. He was a bright light to everyone who knew him, with the biggest heart and would not hesitate to give a hug, a smile, or his infectious laugh to those who needed it. Tanner loved to spend his days fishing and bird hunting with his dad, family and friends, head-banging at heavy metal concerts, gaming, or using his passion for cooking and food to feed his loved ones. Tanner was a free spirit, never tethered down by society’s expectations. However, no matter how far his wandering soul led him, he always knew he could come back home, to a place where he could rest. This is where he drew his last breath, and was wrapped in the comfort and the love of his parents.
Tanner’s memory is kept alive by his parents Dean and Kora-Lynne Gould; his siblings Cody (Adrienne) Gould, Kacie (Darren) Anheliger, Kalene Gould (Brandon Brown) and Landon Gould; his grandmother Emilie Favreau and grandparents Bob and Bea Gould; his nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins and by countless others who have loved him deeply. He made his mark on each one of us, and he will not be forgotten in this life, nor the next. Rest easy Tanner, we love you.
“End? No, it doesn’t end here. Death is just another path, one which we must all take. The grey rain-curtain of this world rolls back, and all change to silver glass. And then you see it. White shores, and beyond, a far green country, under a swift sunrise” – Lord of the Rings
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 7th @ 1:30 p.m. at the Lacombe Pentecostal Church.
