Myrna Ruth Van de Voorde

Myrna Ruth Van De Voorde (nee Isaak) of Lacombe, AB (formerly of Dawson Creek, BC), passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at the age of 83 years.

Myrna married Louie Phil Van De Voorde in 1966 and they farmed at Farmington, BC until 1989 when they moved to Lacombe, AB.  They had three children, Susan, Paul and Scott, and the whole family enjoyed farming together, breeding Percheron draft horses and Shorthorn cattle.  In later years, Myrna enjoyed quilting with her favorite music blaring in the background.

Myrna was predeceased by her husband, Louie; parents; and five siblings.  She is survived by her sister, Helen; children, Susan (Don), Paul and Scott (Cheryl); and grandchildren, Daniel, Brooke, Kayla and Troy.

Funeral Service will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe) on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., followed by interment at Fairview Cemetery.
