Jeannette Eva Muise (nee Poirier) of Edmonton, Alberta, formerly of Lacombe, Alberta was set free from the ravages of dementia on February 26, 2026 at the age of 91 years.
Jeannette is lovingly survived by her four children: Bryan (Jane) Muise, Cynthia (Darcy) Sebry, Deanna Muise and Monica Lloyd (Drew Andrews); her five grandchildren: Philip (Lara) Muise, Sarah (Rick) McDonald, Levi Sebry, Devon Lloyd and Colton Lloyd; as well as six great grandchildren: Spencer, Reid, Lex, Ashton, Carter and Adelyn. Jeannette is also survived by her three siblings: Leo Poirier, John (Betty) Poirier and Louise Groulx; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins and a large community of friends and neighbours. Jeannette was predeceased by her husband: Robert Muise; parents: Phillip and Pearl Poirier; sister: Bertha Poirier; and brother: Paul Poirier.
Jeannette drove school bus for the County of Lacombe for many years but will be best remembered as #1 Grannie Nanie and Great-grannie - a title she wore with love, pride and devotion. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with every fibre of her being and took great delight in spoiling them, along with their many pets.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a small family graveside service at the Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe, Alberta in the spring.
